Conclusion
Many people still believe that The Great Sandy Desert is an unimpressive biome at first glance. The biome in actuality is an interesting environment that is home to many artifacts, animals, plants, and people. The animals that take place here are some of the most interesting animals you can find around the world and by protecting this desert, we can preserve all of the ancient monuments that have been around for millions of years, save animals that are endangered, and protect native lands. One thing we can do to save the species that are at risk is to captively breed them (to make sure they grow up strong and healthy) and to introduce them back into the environment. However, some invasive species are known to hunt and eat these animals. How we can prevent this, which can be hard to take in at first, is to control the population of the invasive species preying on the endangered by having hunting expeditions targeting those invasive species. Hunting is very important to make sure that populations do not grow out of control, like how we hunt bears and wolves in Canada to control their populations. An example of this in Australia is that there is a extreme overpopulation of feral cats in the deserts of Australia, they are a huge cause of the decrease in bilbies in Australia. By controlling the population by hunting a percentage of them, maybe animals like the Bilby can start over and thrive again. This is only one example of a species that needs saving and a biome like this that contains many interesting and unique plants and animals cannot be allowed to be let go.
